Thai Rath Publishes Carradine Hanging Photo; Carradine Family Outraged

According to TMZ, the Thai Rath photo appeared on the cover of the publication, and is believed to have been taken by a Thai police forensics team. Allegedly, the Thai Rath David Carradine hanging photo was leaked by someone inside the Thai police department.

David Carradine was found dead in a luxury Thai hotel on Friday. His nude body, which was discovered by a hotel maid, was found hanging from a clothes bar in a closet. Initially, the police believed that his death was the result of suicide.

Later, however, Thai police came to believe that David Carradine's death may have been the result of an accident while engaging in auto-erotic asphyxiation, a form of sex play where the practitioner cuts of oxygen supply to the brain in order to produce a more intense orgasm.

Accidental deaths resulting from auto-erotic asphyxiation are not unheard of. In the U.S. up to 1,000 cases are reported every year, according to WebMd.

This lends credence to the theory that David Carradine's death may have been the result of an accident while engaging in auto-erotic asphyxiation (Thai police report that a rope was found tied around the actor's genitals).

Understandably, the Carradine family is outraged over Thai Rath's publication of the Carradine hanging photo. Mark Garagos, who is Keith Carradine's (David Carradine's half brother) attorney is threatening to sue any media outlet in the U.S. that publishes the shocking Carradine hanging photo.

The Thai Rath Carradine hanging photo reminds me of the Nikki Catsouras car crash photos.

Nikki Catsouras was an 18-year-old Orange County, California girl whose grisly car crash photos went viral on the web. Allegedly, they were leaked by a couple of CHP (California Highway Patrol) dispatchers.

A few days after the crash, Nikki Catsouras' father Christos, who is a realtor, opened up an email that he thought was a property listing. Instead, what he saw was his daughter's blood-soaked face with the following caption: :Whoohoo, daddy! Hey daddy, I'm still alive."
